What kind of mold is white and looks like feathers/snowflakes?

I am having windows at my house replaced, and the builders found some mold. It is white and looks like snow flakes or feathers. They are relatively small in size (about once cm per "branch," but they occupy a pretty large space. It was slightly raised, but not pointing outwards. It was growing on very wet MDF. Any ideas?
