Buying LEGAL Anime with English subtitles?

I would really like to buy some Anime like One Piece and Ouran Host Club but I refuse to go any where near the bloody mangled mess that is the American version. Is there a way to buy the original Japanese Anime with English subtitles that is NOT illegal and won't suck my bank account dry? Thank you for your time!
