Ive just bought a Canon lens with Image Stabilization but does cirlcle symbol mean on or off?

On the side is a switch with a line and a circle, Does the line or circle mean on or off. It difficult to actually check as my camera isnt here and i bought it second hand so dont have the manual, Thanks all.
